Overcoming Challenges


Whatever season of life we face, remember God is present and desires to help us have victory in every area of life, spiritually, physically and emotionally. The Bible has great encouragement for us to see and grab a hold of this truth. God is present to help you so we only need to trust Him to overcome every obstacle we face daily.


(S) “For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]. 5Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God.”

1 John 5:4-5 AMP

(P) You call ___ victorious and an over-comer because they/I received Jesus as their/my Lord and Savior. As ___ places faith in You Jesus, may You bring victory in ___'s circumstances.

(S) “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].”

Philippians 4:13 AMP

(P) ___ has strength because ___ places their faith in You Lord. ___ am/is ready for anything because You Jesus infuse ___ with inner strength, helping __ to be self-sufficient with Your help.

(S) “But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. Wherever we go, God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ. It’s like a fragrance that fills the air.”

2 Corinthians 2:14 GW

(P) Thank You God for always leading ___ in to victory because of what Christ did for ___. May ___ recognize that You desire to use ___’s life so Father, make it clear what it means to know You and how awesome You are.

(S) “[Jesus said,] I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”

John 16:33 AMP

(P) Jesus, You told ___ these things so that in You ___ might have perfect peace and confidence. We know the world is filled with trials, stress, and frustration; but Father, may ___ be joyful. May ___ be courageous; confident, certain, and undaunted! Thank You Jesus for overcoming the world so that no harm would come to ___.

(S) “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”

Revelations 12:10-11 NKJV

(P) Salvation, strength, the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come to ___, for ___'s accuser, the devil, has accused ___ before God day and night. Thank You Father that ___ overcomes the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of ___'s testimony.

(S) “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Romans 12:21 NIV

(P) ___ is not overcome by evil, but overcoming evil with good with Your help Father.

(S) “In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.”

Psalm 18:29 NLT

(P) God, thank You for giving ___ strength to crush major obstacles they/I face.

(S) “I will sing to the LORD , for he has triumphed gloriously; he has thrown both horse and rider into the sea. The LORD is my strength and my song;he has become my victory. He is my God, and I will praise him; he is my father’s God, and I will exalt him!”

Exodus 15:21

(P) God, I praise You for overcoming our enemy, being ___’s strength and victor. Thank You for being present and being ___’s God in all things.
