Walking Through Pregnancy

Oh the joy, then the tiredness, then the hunger cravings and even the nesting habits a woman can experience throughout a pregnancy. In each stage you or a loved one faces, we can place our hope and trust in God through each trimester, the delivery and bringing your newborn home. God wants to be our help, comfort, strength and give us health. May these Scriptures empower you to believe God is present to walk you through good and tough days.

(S) “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”

Jeremiah 29:11-13 NLT

(P) You have a plan Lord for ___ that is good and not one of tragedy. I pray Your will be done in ___’s life and speak to my/their future with hope and faith that ___ will be able to have children. May You be present in ___’s life as ___ seeks You with all my/her heart.

(S) “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me.”

Psalm 139:13-18 NLT

(P) You are amazing God in how You formed our inner most parts from the start. How complex, yet wonderful is Your workmanship. May You do the same within ___’s womb, creating a healthy, precious child to grow and go through a safe, healthy birth experience.

(S) “I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for me. Your plans for me are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.”

Psalm 40:1-5 NLT

(P) As I wait on You Lord to help ___, thank You for hearing me in my stressful place, bringing me out and in to a calm, safe place of hope in You hearing my pleas for help. I praise You for who You are. I trust You because You have plans for ___ that are good and numerous. I praise You with an expectancy of what is ahead.

I trust in you and I’m safe!” That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you—under them you’re perfectly safe; his arms fend off all harm. Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night, not flying arrows in the day, Not disease that prowls through the darkness, not disaster that erupts at high noon. Even though others succumb all around, drop like flies right and left, no harm will even graze you. You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance, watch the wicked turn into corpses. Yes, because God’s your refuge, the High God your very own home, Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. If you stumble, they’ll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

14-16 “If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says God, “I’ll get you out of any trouble. I’ll give you the best of care if you’ll only get to know and trust me.
