Notes

EP 131

  • Waiting is a natural process: Everyone experiences waiting in relationships, finances, or health [01:28].

  • Waiting intentionally: Understand why you're in a waiting season [01:42]. It's not a passive pause, but an active preparation for the next phase [03:12].

  • Biblical examples: Ruth, Nehemiah, and Joseph actively waited and prepared themselves for their next season [03:52].

  • Avoiding distractions: Distractions can delay your destiny and time with God. Be intentional with your time and focus on listening to God's voice [08:12].

  • Waiting is not instantaneous: Be willing to wait for God's promises, even if it takes a long time [09:28].

  • Positioning yourself: Actively put yourself in a place to be found and build habits and skills needed for the next season [13:20].

  • Daily dialogue with God: Start each day by asking God what He wants for you and how you can put it into practice [15:31].

  • Building good habits: Establishing positive habits i.e., start the day with prayer and devotion. It sets a positive tone and helps you stay on course [17:24].

  • Small changes lead to bigger impact: Focus on making small, consistent changes that can lead to significant transformation [18:57].

Notes

EP 132

  • The Habit Loop: three parts: cue, routine, and reward [01:11]. An example of this would be waking up (cue), drinking water, taking vitamins, praying (routine), which leads to setting you up for a successful day (reward) [01:25].

  • Creating Habits: It takes about 7 - 8 weeks to create a consistent pattern in your life [02:58].

  • Balance: Maintain balance in all aspects of life: spiritual, mental, and physical [04:15].

  • Waiting on the Lord: Psalms 130:5-6, put hope in His word [05:46].

  • Aligning Habits with Purpose: Sometimes, the Lord wants you to simply trust and not take action [10:33].

  • Small Steps: Little habits can lead to bigger ones. If a large goal seems overwhelming, focus on what you can do today [13:21].

  • Practice Makes Progress: Instead of aiming for perfection, focus on progress and getting better over time [15:12].

  • Long-term Goals: Having long-term goals is important in a season of waiting [17:20].

  • Staying Faithful: Stay faithful by being in God's presence, obeying His word, and seeking how to connect your waiting with His purpose [19:13].
